Provenance
The Herbert M. Parker Foundation began a yearly oral history project, funded by the foundation and staffed by students and a project supervisor, from the years 2004-2010. In total over 140 people were interviewed. The oral histories from the years 2004 and 2005 were lost when a server backup failed in 2007 and the tapes were reused. Some of the subjects were re-interviewed in 2008 and 2009. Some oral histories were digitized by Robert Franklin at Pullman in 2014 and 2015. Sometime in 2012-2014 part of the documentation was delivered to Mike Mays and Anneke Rachinski at the Hanford History Project. Robert Franklin pulled these files out of storage in January, 2016. Robert then contacted the Parker Foundation to gain rights to the oral histories and was connected with LoAnn Ayers, the project supervisor for several years of the oral history project. Over several visits LoAnn dropped of documentation and files that make up the remainder of the current collection.
